Timothy Kendall Edser’s performance installations titled Tension (2000- ), is an ongoing series of works based on the artist’s use of his own body as subject and material. This series of works has seen the artist’s body compressed, bound, suspended, dragged, and used to break through objects. These public gestures highlight his vulnerability and examines ideas of masculinity.
